In Chile when my mother divorced my father, she looked for a place where she could better raise her three children. My aunt told her to come to Quebec.

During university, I moved to British Columbia, met Gloria and we fell in love. We started a restaurant together and we now have four children. We have moved back to Quebec to be closer to my family.

Gloria

Civil war broke out in my country of El Salvador when I was a teenager. My mom decided to send us to Mexico where we would be safer. While living in Mexico illegally for many years, I learned to cook. When we arrived in Canada, I started a Mexican/Salvadorian restaurant that I now manage with my husband.
